Hampton Bays beaches include a newly renovated Ponquogue Beach on the eastern most end of Dune Road to the south. This gorgeous sandy beach is one of the most popular beaches in the Hamptons, attracting over 100,000 visitors each year. This lifeguard-protected beach is great for kite flying, beach volleyball, fishing, and scuba diving. Meschutt Beach County Park covers over 7 acres with more than 1000 feet of waterfront on Peconic Bay to the North. Considered one of Long Island’s most beautiful bay beaches, Meschutt Beach is very popular with families. It is also great for sailing and snorkeling, and hermit crabs can often be found in its shallow waters. Lifeguards protect the beach during the summer season while saltwater fishing is permitted during the off-season.
